Nurturing a wide range of skills, knowledge and experience, our team of specialist teachers and teaching assistants work creatively and flexibly. We will help you identify the needs of young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and work with you to turn around young lives, making a difference to the whole school community.

Our specialists observe and assess children and young people so they can offer teachers and leaders advice and strategies which build capacity and get results. We work with individuals and groups of pupils to deliver a range of interventions addressing bullying, low self-esteem and loss and bereavement. We can also support your professional development and are able to provide bespoke training.

To develop our offer around young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, we have established One City Schools, an Ofsted-registered school providing high-quality alternative provision for young people who are excluded, at risk of exclusion, who have a Statement of Special Educational Needs or are unable to access mainstream schools.

Case study

|

In order to build capacity in a school, One Education worked with a group of teaching assistants, supporting them to deliver a loss and bereavement programme with small groups, written and developed by One Education. We modelled how to deliver the intervention over several weeks, then co-delivered with teaching assistants and ended by observing the teaching assistants delivering the programme. We then used a solution-focused approach to feed back on how to improve and develop the sessions. Sessions were evaluated as outstanding.
