An opportunity has arisen for a proactive, hands-on and technically literate marketing professional with good all-round skills and bundles of enthusiasm to join our dynamic, committed and outgoing team.

Key tasks will include copywriting, publication production, a good knowledge of digital marketing, design input and event support.

Based just outside Manchester City Centre One Education firmly believes in putting pupils first by delivering a multitude of complementary school services with measurable pupil interventions and outstanding leadership support.

Personal description

  • Experience of working in a marketing or communications environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of individuals, in writing, in person, and on the telephone
  • Effectively prioritize and plan works in line with changing business demands
  • Use own initiative, be pro-active and learn on the job
  • Plan and organise own work, and effectively adapt to changing business priorities Enthusiasm for educational, digital and marketing sectors
  • An enthusiastic graduate or a candidate who has successfully completed an apprenticeship, and have gained professional experience

Core tasks

  • Web updates using a CMS
  • Social media planning, publishing and evaluation
  • Generating Google Analytic reports
  • Market research and development including focus groups
  • Supporting events and training courses
  • Dealing with queries from both staff and external contacts
  • Updating and maintaining relevant customer databases
  • Identifying and procuring appropriate marketing material
  • Monitoring and maintaining stocks of marketing and promotional material
  • Assisting in the production of marketing material including drafting copy and proof reading, commissioning photography, and design
  • Responding effectively to internal marketing requests and efficiently schedule works
  • Helping to identify and build relationships with brand advocates and partners
  • Exploring and utilising new technologies and platforms of delivery
  • Undertaking educational and user experience research

Technical skills


  • Basic HTML
  • Use of CMS
  • Ability to generate reports with Google Analytics
  • Good understanding of Word and Excel
  • Social Media updates, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube
  • 1 year + work experience in a similar role
