The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will replace the existing Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA) with effect from 25th May 2018 but with this radical overhaul many of the existing data protection rules and obligations are changing.
Schools need to review their existing arrangements, prepare for the changes and decide what action needs to be taken.
To help you prepare, this session will consider:

- Steps that schools can take to prepare for the GDPR
- Roles and responsibilities placed on schools under the new regulations
- More stringent penalties for non-compliance
