This course has been designed to support year three and four teachers to achieve the best outcomes for their pupils. Delegates are encouraged to bring three children’s books showing the writing process, SPaG work, and the level of reading comprehension.
Whilst looking at the year three and four curriculum, the course will cover: planning a text-based literacy sequence, incorporating SPaG creatively in context; using content domains to structure Guided Reading; moderation in both reading and writing; progression within years three and four linking to end of key stage expectations.
This course is guaranteed to deepen understanding of the National Curriculum and secure consistency. We also provide a wealth of resources, ideas and practical strategies for achieving at least ARE in years three and four.
