There are some changes to the requirements for teacher assessment and the moderation process of Key Stage 2 writing for 2019. All schools need to be aware of these changes particularly schools which are due to have a moderation visit.
This session will offer a wide range of activities and ideas to transform the teaching of writing in the classroom, including: - using a text-based approach - embedding the use of music, film and apps in the writing curriculum – Cross curricular opportunities for writing.

This course also looks at progression of the SPaG curriculum from Y1 to Y6 and offers many creative ways to teach SPaG in context, along with suggestions for discrete sessions.
The course will offer practical ideas that can be implemented easily within the classroom and participants will leave knowing how to implement writing in a clear and concise way across the whole school.
