Course Content

Reading is a skill for life, not just the classroom. Reading for enjoyment is now a key area of the National Curriculum and teachers are looking for different ways of teaching reading that take account of children’s changing tastes.

Key concepts will be covered including:

  • a reinvented guided reading carousel
  • the use of content domains for questioning
  • planning for best outcomes
  • encouraging reading around school.
