The speaker events are essential sessions for updating SENCos on relevant national and local issues surrounding SEND, and for providing very valuable opportunities for networking with colleagues and like-minded professionals.
Themes will be focused on meeting the professional
development needs of the SENCo role. The June network event will have Dame Alison Peacock as a speaker.
Alison Peacock DBE, DL, DLitt, MEd, BA, is co-author of ‘Creating Learning without Limits’ (2012). This research explores an alternative improvement agenda; identifying key dispositions for school leadership where every child and adult is valued and where no one is labelled by so-called ‘ability’.
Throughout her career, Alison has worked in partnership with educational researchers to document her innovative work as a teacher and creative school leader. During this session Alison will share the principles of ‘Learning without Limits’ and will help participants to develop a way through for every child
