For a fixed yearly price of £1000 Primary and Secondary Schools can have access to our SIMS Only Support. Up to 3-year contract available. This is an excellent choice for customers who need help managing and maintaining their SIMS.

Annual SIMS Support

SIMS refers to School Information Management System - one of the most widely used MIS in UK schools. It is vital in storing and managing student information.

Our dedicated MIS support team have significant knowledge of the full range of SIMS modules. We have been supporting schools for over 25 years and are currently supporting SIMS systems for users in over 170 schools and academies, working closely with them to ensure they make the most effective use out of SIMS in the office and classrooms.

They proactively take the time to advise and provide solutions for any SIMS related challenges, including installations and the support and training to help ensure pupil and staff data is managed and maintained in accordance with legislation.


We Offer You

  • Unlimited telephone support for all modules of SIMS
  • Unlimited remote support for all modules of SIMS
  • Support and guidance for all Statutory Returns
  • Emergency support for failures affecting the running of the school with a 4-hour response
  • Technical support of existing non-teaching MIS devices (i.e. SIMS server and computers with SIMS installed)
  • Additional Services

There are times when you may need extra help with your SIMS system. We offer a range of additional support options:

  • Training: Delivering relevant courses, seminars and on-site bespoke training, all incorporated within the support package, at no additional cost, or available to purchase for non-contract customers.
  • Consultancy: In-depth discussions leading to installation of bespoke assessment solutions.
  • Statutory returns: Support and guidance provided for all statutory returns including School Census, School Workforce Census and End of Key Stage Assessments.
  • Communications: Guidance notes and reports available to download from One Education’s website for all SIMS modules including Statutory Returns, Pupil Premium, End of Year procedures and general SIMS.net housekeeping.

FAQs

1. DO YOU SUPPORT ALL MODULES IN THE SIMS CORE SUITE?

Yes, support for all modules in the SIMS core suite is included.

2. WHERE IS YOUR NEAREST TRAINING CENTRE?

Our training centre is located at a specifically configured training room at our office based at One Education, Universal Square, Devonshire St N. Manchester M12 6JH.

3. I AM AN ACADEMY/INDEPENDENT SCHOOL; CAN I STILL BUY SIMS SUPPORT FROM ONE EDUCATION?

Yes, we support a number of academies and independent schools, although you do have to purchase the SIMS/FMS licenses directly from ESS.

4.DO YOU SUPPORT ALL THE ADDITIONAL SIMS MODULES INCLUDING FMS?

Our team supports the technical and usage side of FMS but we are unable to give accountancy and schools’ finance advice although work closely with these teams when supporting you. We provide first line support, and then liaise with ESS for second line support on the additional purchased software i.e. Dinner Money, Lesson Monitor, In Touch, Staff Performance, and SLG.

5. HOW WILL YOU COMMUNICATE WITH SCHOOLS ABOUT UPDATES, UPGRADES, PATCHES AND DEVELOPMENT?

  • We provide a termly Newsletter which highlights aspects of any upgrades that we think need to be drawn to the school’s attention, together with upcoming training dates and any interesting, informative, or urgent news.
  • Our website is regularly updated to provide schools with information to help them use their SIMS systems effectively.
  • We attend regular network meetings and are happy to present at common forums and conferences where relevant.
