Competition Time

British Science week is a ten-day celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths this week ending on 20th March 2022.

Learning Coding is an important part of the Computing Curriculum. As Educators, we want to equip our young people with the skills they need for the world of work. To support our schools we are holding a competition to celebrate British Science week.

This competition will provide an excellent opportunity for Key Stage 2 pupils to further their programming skills and will ignite their digital creativity. It will help them to develop their programming and debugging skills while also offering a vehicle for them to construct their own engaging digital game.

Design your Own Computer Game

  • Computer games encourage children to think critically and creatively, e.g. to solve puzzles.
  • Computer games support children’s fine motor development.
  • Computer games help children develop social skills, such as team building.
  • Computer games can improve a player’s memory.
