Pupil Absence Data

Pupil absence data is being gathered by the DfE for the third time for the whole academic year 2014/2015 for state-funded primary, secondary and special schools.

The data will be published in the Statistical First Release in March 2016, and will include information on absence in pupil referral units and the absences of four year olds.

The release will detail overall absence and persistent absence along with data around reasons for absence, characteristics and geographic location.

Three years’ attendance data for six half terms is now able to be analysed to identify trends and inform behaviour and attendance policies.

2013 to 2014 data is here.
