Rathika Marsh - Educational Psychologist

Dr Rathika Marsh, Educational Psychologist, previously worked as a primary school teacher and as a pupil development assistant supporting children and young people with multiple and profound difficulties before completing her doctorate training at the University of Bristol.

During her training, Rathika carried out doctoral research on the factors supporting the re-inclusion of young people into secondary schools following permanent exclusion and managed moves. Over the last three years, Rathika has developed a keen interest in the application of mindfulness within the work context and in schools.

She works closely with a number of settings in central and south Manchester, particularly in early years provisions. Rathika is particularly interested in understanding children and young people’s stories or perspectives and how these can impact upon learning.

She always aims to engage families and schools to work together alongside other professionals to create a team around the child.
