EU Referendum could end the Erasmus Programme

The EU-funded Erasmus Programme has facilitated student exchanges between member states since the late 1980s.

The decision to leave the EU taken by the electorate on 23 June puts this programme in jeopardy. Students may still apply for an exchange place but for how long? This depends upon when the UK formally exits the EU and what alternative arrangements are agreed thereafter.
