This week, we’re officially launching our new website, celebrating months of hard work and input into our online presence.
But haven’t we launched already?
Technically, yes. But with a website of this size, scale, and level of functionality – we wanted to ensure that we had ironed out as many of the post-launch creases as possible, in order to ensure a fantastic client service before we invited you all in. We've now got fully functional secure client resource areas, improved online event bookings, and an online store.
Why did we choose to redesign?
One Education is growing, as not only a commercial outfit, but as a unique company of experts, thought-leaders and innovators within the education sector. In order to properly showcase these qualities, we wanted a platform where we could display our services and experience in an accessible environment, which complimented the quality of the content from our contributors.
User Experience (UX)
The online event bookings system now has the ability to accept payments online, as well as notifying the user of a fully-booked event. Most importantly the user can remain on the website throughout the booking process, making the experience a lot easier and quicker.
While we’re not a 'products' based company, there are certain elements to the business, such as our Music Centre Memberships, and Music Tuition that can be paid for in our Store. We’re looking to expand this functionality further across our other service lines in the future.
Our new resource area supports a secure login feature, and an improved structure for our documents. We provide a mixture of free resources for everyone, such as our safeguarding section, and resources for our clients which require unique log-in credentials.
Simon Williams Financial Director, One Education
We committed to a targeted investment in our website and digital strategy to enhance user experience and upgrade our online booking systems. We plan to continue developing and investing in the website, guided by user traffic and feedback.
One Editorial Blogs
Starting in June 2016, we’re looking to increase our number of blogs, providing you with relevant, to-the-minute articles, highlighting not just the issues and areas of need within education, but also sharing success stories and best practice.
We’d love for you to get involved with our articles too – another new feature is our comments section at the bottom of every article. We want to hear your thoughts, opinions, and ideas for future content.
Jane Sowerby Education Director, One Education
The new website gives us the opportunity to be explicit about, and share best practice through our case studies, which is incredibly important to us as reflective practitioners. It also enables schools to access our training and expertise more intuitively. I love reading the blogs, particularly now that other professionals can leave a comment and join in the debate too.
Education Events, Training & CPD
We’re going to continue to provide you with a jam-packed calendar of training courses, conferences and networking events. In the coming year we’ll be looking at some exciting new venues in which to hold our events, and continuing to ensure that you receive the most up-to-date training required to excel in your role.
If you’re a subscriber to our weekly newsletter, you’ll soon be seeing some changes to the format. As a platform for delivering timely relevant sector news and updates, we also want to use the newsletter to share our weekly blog articles with you – providing you with in-depth insights into the topics of the week. If you're not already a subscriber, you can sign up to our weekly newsletter here.
Thank you! For being a supportive audience over the last couple of months while we optimised the site, for the fantastic feedback that we've already received, and for the constructive comments that are helping to shape the development of the website in the months to come. It’s really heartening to know that while it has been a significant investment of time and resources for us, the benefits are being passed on to our growing audience.
