Pupil Premium Spending

The Sutton Trust and Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) have announced the outcome of their recent poll of pupil premium spending in schools.

The good news is that the majority of school leaders are now using research to inform practice with 60% using the EEF and Sutton Trust Teaching and Learning Toolkit.

Teachers’ awareness of research and the impact on classroom practice is also up from 10% in 2015 to 25%. However there is a rise in schools using pupil premium funding to offset budget cuts and one in five surveyed are not clear on their school’s pupil premium priorities.
