Beating exam stress

The NSPCC recently reported that educational problems were the top concern for young people contacting ChildLine in 2013/14, with exam stress seeing a 200% increase.

Peter Wanless, NSPCC Chief Executive, stated “The exam period can be a very stressful and anxious time…the pressure to do well is being felt by an increasing number of young people”.

The NSPCC reminds us that the impact of stress on some young people can include sleeplessness, anxiety attacks, tearfulness, depression and eating disorders as well as self-harm and suicidal thoughts.

Beat exam stress is a useful resource for young people along with BBC Bitesize and The Site.
