One Education’s attendance team is highly qualified and in a unique position to support schools and academies to reduce pupil absence whilst supporting pupils and parents
The Education Welfare and Safeguarding team pride themselves on adapting delivery to meet our schools', academies', & MATs' needs. Every establishment is unique and as such deserves bespoke support.
We can support you with education welfare and attendance concerns, as well as safeguarding training along with in house system and procedural advice.
Non-school attendance is usually an indication of difficulties in a child’s life. We are able to analyse at a strategic level, the policies and practices you have and whether they are fit for purpose and recommend guidance and action plans for any developments to consider. Resources within schools and academies need to be deployed effectively and often the introduction of clear systems can be a contributing factor. Often multi academy trusts will have overarching policies and statements, but within that, individual establishments may have separate practices to support this. Working with groups of academies in areas such as attendance policies, establishes individuality within a collaboration and has proved to be a successful approach.
Our highly skilled advisers can also offer direct support including data analysis, case working, panel meetings and targeted intervention strategies. The advantage of working within a group of academies, is that resources can be shared amongst the MAT dependant on need. Working with MATs in this way has shown to be effective practice.
Packages of support can be created across the Education Welfare and Safeguarding team, so that as a School, Academy or MAT, you will be able to use your resources to identify the appropriate support that you require to meet your needs and therefore build capacity to develop further.
