Our support is bespoke to you, offering a wide range of different services. We understand that the needs of Multi-Academy Trusts differ from those of single schools and we can provide specific packages of support to meet your needs.

One Education Literacy Support

  • Providing support for the schools within your MAT to achieve the One Education Reading Award to show your commitment to the teaching and learning of reading.
  • Supporting you to improve teaching and learning outcomes across the schools in your MAT by working alongside senior leaders, literacy leaders, classroom teachers and teaching assistants.
  • Auditing English provision across your Multi-Academy Trust, including creating action plans, analysing data and moderating assessment alongside the leadership team.
  • Modelling, planning and observing lessons within specific year groups, schools, or across your MAT.
  • Providing training on all aspects of the English curriculum and cross-curricular opportunities for embedding learning. The team offers bespoke staff meetings, twilights and INSET days tailored to the needs of your MAT or the individual schools within it. Training can be combined across multiple schools and discounts are available.
  • Supporting you to develop a consistent approach across academies who are part of a multi-academy trust.

ONE EDUCATION READING AWARD

One Education are offering a Reading Award which is designed to show the skills and commitment by Multi-Academy Trusts who build a successful reading curriculum and inspire children to read.

The support that runs alongside the Reading Award can be combined across a group of schools or delivered to every school within your MAT. The award and support can be purchased at a discount to multi-academy trusts with the option to provide combined support multiple schools. By working towards the One Education Reading Award, the schools in your MAT will be able to develop a more consistent and streamlined approach to the teaching of reading. LITERACY SUPPORT PACKAGES FOR MULTI-ACADEMY TRUSTS

We have now experienced the new system for statutory assessment at the end of Key Stage One and Key Stage Two. Going forward, schools that are part of Multi-Academy Trusts need to ensure consistency in approach. Literacy specialists can work with teachers to improve teaching and learning throughout the schools with your Multi-Academy Trust. As part of the support there is the opportunity to include moderation of assessments, staff meetings, training, leadership support and literacy audits for your multi-academy trust.

Option 1Full MAT support:

  • Bespoke school support (number of days dependent on MAT) including auditing existing provision and developing action plans for each school within your MAT
  • 3 Literacy lead support sessions for all schools within your MAT
  • 3 Moderation Sessions for the schools within your MAT (1 per term)
  • 6 training days specific to your MAT
  • One Education Reading Award online package for every school within your MAT with the option to purchase additional combined support

Option 2 – MAT support for a group of schools:

  • Bespoke in-school support (number of days dependent on MAT)
  • 3 days of Literacy lead support (1 per term)
  • 3 training days specific to your MAT
  • One Education Reading Award online package for every school with the option to purchase additional combined support 

Option 3 – Literacy Lead support across your MAT:

  • 3 Literacy Lead meetings specific to your MAT (each Literacy Lead within your MAT schools can attend)
  • 3 Moderation sessions for the Literacy Leads within your MAT (1 per term).
  • 1 day of Literacy Lead support for each leader within their individual school.

MODERATION

With the assessment framework and rise in expectations, schools need to ensure accuracy in teacher assessment judgements in Reading and Writing. Our experienced moderators can facilitate combined moderation across all schools or a group of schools within your MAT . Through this staff can gain valuable experience in applying the frameworks to children’s work accurately as well as having the added support of a Local Authority moderator to confirm their findings.

INSET AND OTHER TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

Training on any aspect of the English curriculum can be provided by One Education as a staff meeting or an INSET across the schools within your multi-academy trust.

Literacy Training & Events

Training can be bought individually by schools, combined by a group of schools or delivered across every school within your MAT, bespoke to your needs. Discounts are available where multiple schools within your MAT access training.
