The Education Welfare and Safeguarding team pride themselves on adapting delivery to meet our schools', academies', & MATs' needs. Every establishment is unique and as such deserves bespoke support.
At One Education we are passionate about supporting schools, academies, children and carers with a shared commitment and belief that all children have the right to feel safe, secure and protected.
Academies are well placed to recognise and respond to the early signs of abuse. Our specialists will work with school leaders to support you to meet your duties to help you secure effective safeguarding arrangements that go way beyond the statutory minimum. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. We run regular training sessions, briefings and workshops throughout the year focusing on legislative changes, vital information and updates. All training is in accordance with the government’s guidance regarding working together to safeguard children and our team ensure that they are up to date with their knowledge, and at the cutting edge of safeguarding legislation. The advantage of working with MATs or groups of schools or academies is that training can be delivered on site to staff across the cluster and will allows for a bespoke delivery. Twilight session are always useful for specialised topics relevant to you.
Our safeguarding team are highly experienced NSPCC trained Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL) and are also qualified through the NSPCC to provide casework supervision. This is a crucial part of support staff dealing with sensitive issues to ensure their wellbeing and can be used as a group supporting system.
Packages of support can be created across the Education Welfare and Safeguarding team, so that you as a School, Academy or MAT will be able to use your resources to identify the appropriate support that you require to meet your needs and therefore build capacity to develop further.
