Meet our Payroll Advisors
In addition to education, payroll, and HR, our advisors have experience in schools' budget/finance and ICT systems including SIMS and FMS6. They provide a complete payroll and transactional HR package based on the type of school and designed to enhance and support individual school business processes.
Head of HR & Payroll
Jill holds a strategic management role in the One Education HR & People Team, and was instrumental in introducing and developing our payroll service for schools in 2013. Jill has a varied career history in the Local Authority Education Department working across all areas of staff and pupil support services, including SEN statements, pupil exclusions and admissions.For many years, Jill’s main area of interest and expertise has been related to school HR support with a particular focus on pay and conditions. Jill is a highly experienced trainer across many areas, as well as being an accredited safer recruitment trainer. Jill has researched and written numerous policy documents for schools, and was Chair of Governors at a special school in Manchester for a number of years.
Audrey started her educational career as a primary school secretary with responsibility for school finance. She then joined a large local authority providing schools with SIMS & FMS support, including training to school staff. Audrey became the School Workforce Census Coordinator for a large city authority for all its schools. She transferred to One Education when the organisation was founded in 2011 and was a key member of the team which created and developed the One Education Payroll & Transactional HR service. On a daily basis she provides support to School Business Managers and Senior Leaders regarding their payroll needs to deliver our bespoke payroll service. Audrey represents the Payroll & Transactional HR service at exhibitions and events.
Angela has over 25 years’ experience in Finance, Business & Management and is AAT qualified. She has worked as a Finance Manager in a local authority calculating the specialist Formula Budget Shares for Primary, Secondary & Special schools. Angela joined One Education in 2012 as a School Budget Support Officer assisting schools with budget settings, close down and support training on HCSS & FMS6. In 2013 Angela joined the newly formed One Education Payroll Service assisting with the creation and development of our bespoke payroll service. Angela is dedicated to providing a reliable and comprehensive service to school business managers and school leaders.
Winsome worked within a Local Authority for over 19 years where she held various financial experience including budget monitoring and the production of financial reports. Winsome has qualifications from the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Diploma. Winsome joined One Education in September 2011 as a School Budget Officer providing support to schools with their HCSS and FMS finance system and implementing these systems as required. Winsome joined the Payroll team in January 2014 and in addition to providing a comprehensive service to schools, she plays a major part in managing all the third party payments on behalf of schools.
Angela graduated from Salford University after completing the Certificate in Personnel and Practice followed by the Graduate Certificate in Management. She has worked in a Personnel environment for over 20 years, firstly for the NHS then local government before joining One Education Ltd in 2012. Since joining One Education Angela has undertaken the HR transactional and payroll responsibilities for the company, specialising in DBS processing and regulations, as a DBS Countersignatory.
Nathan has nearly 15 years experience within the Education sector providing Payroll and HR advice. He previously worked in a local authority before commencing employment with One Education in October 2015. Nathan specialises in teachers' terms and conditions in relation to pay, ISR reviews, pension legislation and specific contracts of employment. Nathan delivers training and presentations to cluster groups and School Business Manager forums. Nathan is also a governor at a primary school where he is Chair of the Leadership & Management Committee.
Joseph has over 14 years experience in administration and holds an NVQ Level 2 in Administration. He qualified in payroll in 2010 and completed AAT Level 1 in 2017 as well as holding qualifications in Customer Service.
Joseph understands how busy the average school day is, as he has worked within a school office as part of the administrative team.
