Work Experience Support
One Education Careers have been supporting Schools to offer their students high quality, aspirational work experience placements since 2015.
We are incredibly proud of the work experience programme we have developed, and of the positive feedback we have received from the schools we have supported through their experience programmes.
Work Experience Support for your school
One Education Careers can offer bespoke packages of work experience support for schools, including high quality, aspirational placements, placements for students with special educational needs and health and safety checks for placements that have been sourced through schools or students themselves.
Our work experience staff hold qualifications accredited through The Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, enabling us to carry out health and safety checks with employers offering placements.
Why is work experience important?
Work experience is an incredibly important activity for students, particularly in years 10 and 11, as they begin to consider their future options more seriously, and prepare for the transition from secondary school to post-16 education and training.
We know from the feedback we have received from students that work experience can help to build independence, confidence and a more realistic understanding of happens within the workplace. This understanding can help students make well-informed, realistic decisions about what they may want to do in the future.
Our Work Experience support can include:
- Provision of high quality, aspirational work experience placements
- A dedicated member of the team to work alongside your School
- Assemblies to help prepare students for work experience
- Advice and support for students to help them find their own work placements
- Health and safety checks on work placement providers
- Provision of all necessary paperwork
- Evaluation and feedback
