The One Education Literacy Team are highly experienced in all aspects of the English curriculum. The team are up to date with DfE guidance, STA updates and current educational research. The literacy team pride themselves on their passion and enthusiasm in improving Literacy outcomes for all children. They support the whole school through a variety of leadership development, teacher support, advice, workshops and training.
Jo is a Literacy Consultant and Team Leader for Literacy and Dyslexia. She is an STA accredited moderator for Manchester and she offers training, support and development to schools and academies. Before joining the team at One Education, Jo was Literacy Leader and Deputy Head at a school in Trafford. As Deputy Head she was praised by Ofsted for her leadership skills and development of the school improvement plan. Jo now works across Early Years, Key Stage One and Key Stage Two and delivers English network meetings, assessment implementation, leadership support, school reviews, teacher support and bespoke packages to meet your needs.
Laura joined One Education in 2016 as a Literacy Consultant. Before this, she worked as a Key Stage Two Leader and English Leader at a primary school in Manchester. Whilst working as a teacher, Laura led wide-ranging training opportunities for a number of cluster schools and developed the teaching, monitoring and assessment of the new primary curriculum. Laura now specialises in providing bespoke training and support to schools across all aspects of the English curriculum. She works with members of SLT, supports staff within the classroom as well as facilitating moderation, the implementation of CPD and assisting in whole school curriculum change.
