Music in Schools
One Education Music provides high quality music lessons in singing and on a wide range of instruments. This may be at any time during the school day including breakfast, lunchtime and after school clubs
Music Centres offer opportunities to develop musical skills and talents in a collaborative environment.
We encourage social networking in a safe place and provide regular performance opportunities throughout the year. Making music with other people in a group or band or orchestra is fun, a good social experience and often the start of a lifelong interest. Children can learn an instrument through individual or group music lessons.

One Education Music are proud to work with parents and communities, and the Manchester Music Hub (MyHub) supporting and enabling talent to flourish. We run several extra curricular music centres during the school year that offer a range of activities for different ages and abilities including SEND pupils with additional needs.
One Education Music is an Arts Award supporter – new players are always welcome and the activities could support different levels of arts award engagement, particularly taking part in arts activities. Regular attenders may also be able to develop their arts leadership skills by leading music workshops and using media skills linked to a current project.
Music centres offer a range of musical styles including vocal, rock, jazz, world music and inclusive, creative music making. There are also traditional band and orchestral pathways from beginner to advanced level.
You are welcome to visit any centre, join in with a group, talk with staff and decide if you would like to become a member of the music centre. It costs £42 per term to become a member and attend any suitable groups or ensembles. Music lessons are also available at most centres and the cost depends on the length of the lesson and number of people in the group.
Enrolment for 2017-2018 is ongoing – just visit the music centre of your choice. Details of the music centres can be found in our store.
From September 2017, all lesson slots will be 20 minutes (or multiples of 20 minutes). The cost per term will depend on the number of weeks - which varies between centres each year.
