Bespoke primary and secondary school workshops are available throughout the 2017 autumn term on a Monday or Friday morning.
The musical foundations for many of the most popular forms of musical styles have developed from slave songs and spirituals. These bespoke events / super learning workshops will include a combination of singing and learning about the origins of gospel/blues/inspirational songs.
There is also an additional secondary school option about developing identity and self-esteem originally piloted in Levenshulme Girls High School.
Workshops are led by musical director Carla Jane, accompanied by professional musicians and generally last approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. This could be split into two shorter 40 minute workshops.
