Course Content

This NEW introductory course for Middle Leaders or teachers aspiring to become middle leaders in the future will explore what it means to lead a department, a key stage, a subject or a specialist area. Successful middle leaders inspire and motivate others and - at the same time - keep the school ticking on a day to day basis. Course facilitators have had experience of leading from the middle and will draw upon their own experiences to help you in your journey.

This half day course will explore:

Motivating and inspiring others through your vision; Reviewing current practice in your school and successful action planning; Theories of middle leadership and how to implement them; Holding others to account; Your wellbeing and workload. A CPD programme for Middle Leaders will be available in the academic year 2019-2020
