Critical Incident Training - 14 June 2022
Contents
Occasionally an event can happen in an educational establishment which is unexpected and may have an impact on staff, pupils, parents, or the community. Events and incidents which are unplanned can cause major disruption to normal working practises. We believe you can plan for the unexpected. It is vital for schools to have well prepared and trained staff, robust policies, and procedures for dealing with critical incidents and damage limitation strategies in place at all times.
This briefing will provide delegates with the skills to prepare for and manage a critical incident before, during and after the event, particularly around intruders who may pose a threat to your school(Lockdown) and knife crime related incidents. We will advise delegates how to identify and respond to a critical incident, to consider who the main stakeholders and key contacts are, develop press statements and strategies, identify who to liaise with for support and to ensure you have the skills to effectively plan for business continuity.
