Employment Law Updates: Important Developments you must not miss.

Over the past 2 years, due to the pandemic, many of the anticipated employment law changes have been delayed or postponed. 2022 should see legislative developments start to progress again.

In this training session we will provide an update on expected developments in employment law to be aware of including:

  • Update on Workplace Sexual Harassment - a discussion on the new plans to impose a duty on employers to prevent sexual harassment and to introduce new protections from third-party harassment
  • Update on the new right to Carer's leave including who can take carers leave, what this can be taken for and how this can be taken
  • Update on Neonatal leave and Pay
  • Extension of Redundancy Protection for Women and New Parents

We will also consider:

  • The consultation on Flexible Working including recent case law and developments related to Flexible Working which schools should be aware of
  • ACAS’s latest guidance on “Fire and Rehire” and the impact on the education sector
  • The emerging caselaw and guidance on supporting employees who are undergoing Menopause

Add to this huge costs and inconsistent supply of quality agency staff, unplanned absence can cause real disruption to daily school life. Return to Work interviews are a hands-on, practical approach to nipping attendance issues in the bud at an early stage and go a long way to promoting staff well-being.
