New to Teaching Network Meeting

The first few years of being a teacher can be challenging. Having a network of peers is helpful and can provide support and ideas.

A network event can be attended as a single event but attending the five meetings throughout the year will allow for NQTs to build upon their skills whilst gaining invaluable, practical ideas to adapt within the classroom.

This academic year, all sessions will be online. The sessions will focus on exploring best practice in teaching and learning and offer opportunities for reflection:
• DfE and national updates
• Assessment
• Resources for the classroom: tried and tested
• Latest research and how to effectively apply it
• Developing knowledge and skills
• Sharing good practice
• Network opportunities

The sessions will be adapted for the delegates who attend but the main focus for each session is as follows:

*16th September 2020 - Day 1: The Curriculum

*Day 1 will explore the impact of COVID-19 and how NQTs can become more confident in adapting the curriculum to suit the needs of their children.

Please see other sessions for the detail of each one.

Delegates will receive a resource pack and be encouraged to complete a follow up task to embed new ideas into their practice.

Who is it for?
