In response to the Government guidance on COVID-19 advising the UK public to avoid unnecessary social contact, we are continually addressing our training courses and events programme. We are delighted to be able to offer some face-to-face training again, with social distance measures in places, whilst looking to provide as much training virtually as possible. Please contact the Events Team for up to date information on courses.

The Literacy Lead network meetings take place once a term and are a fantastic opportunity to work alongside others in similar situations, whilst using the knowledge and experience of the course facilitators who are experienced moderators, curriculum advisors for the STA, School leaders and classroom teachers.

Vocabulary is VITAL - 11 December 2020 & 12 March 2021

Vocabulary is vital. Research shows that the better a child’s vocabulary, the better their chances are in school and in life. It not only impacts on Reading, but Oracy, Writing, indeed all aspects of the curriculum and a person’s day to day understanding and experience of the world.

Y2 Writing Moderation - 22 April 2021

A half day course to give delegates the opportunity to discuss pupil's writing in line with the National Curriculum and end of Key Stage 1 expectations. Experienced moderators will facilitate the discussion, ensuring that the course provides delegates with up to date Key Stage 1 statutory assessment arrangements for Writing.
