Transition to Year One (English focus)- 2 July 2020

As children move into Y1 it is essential that practice offers continuity from the EYFS, building on children’s learning experiences. The pressures of teaching of reading and writing can lead many resorting to overly formal teaching rather than teaching the way that children learn best. This course will examine effective ways to support the transition into Key Stage 1 through exploring elements of EYFS practice.
