This practical and hands-on course is aimed at primary teachers and teaching assistants who are looking at developing ideas for teaching music in the classroom.

During the session we will learn a range of warm up games and activities; understand how to structure a music lesson; develop vocabulary and teaching resources; explore composing, playing and listening activities to reinforce wider curriculum learning and look at the importance of nurturing creativity.

The course will be led by Sylvie Heath, an experienced music practitioner who works in primary and secondary schools in and around Manchester.
