The session will give you the opportunity to moderate children’s work with colleagues, local schools, and with an experienced moderator – all of which will help aid in developing consistency within assessment for Reading and Maths. The session will explore ideas and a range of strategies that can be used within the classroom; developing teacher’s confidence, knowledge and skills whilst improving outcomes for children and raising standards in the curriculum.

All Year 2 delegates should bring with them reading and maths evidence from across the curriculum for at least three children as the majority of the course will be spent assessing and discussing work with colleagues.

This course is also suitable for teachers in other year groups who would benefit from understanding end of KS1 expectations.
