Developing an inspirational EYFS team is dedicated to Headteachers and Senior Leaders who are involved in supporting and developing the EYFS within school. The day explores the inspiration, awe and wonder that an incredible EYFS team can create for our young children at the start of their education journey.

This day is sure to leave you filled with the magic that learning in the EYFS can create. But donโ€™t just take our word for it! Take a look at this testimonial from a school to see how our CPD can really make a difference.

โ€œWhere do I start with the impact thatย Developing an inspirational EYFS team for school leadersย has had only 6 months on from attending the session? I could write an essay!

Following the training, delivered by the highly skilled One Education Consultant, I came away enthused to write our EYFS key priorities for the year ahead.

My starting point was discussed during the day; โ€˜what doโ€ฏourโ€ฏchildren really need to experience when they walk through the door?โ€™โ€ฏ With our EYFS team, we evaluated each area of continuous provision, ensuring that the needs of all of our children would be met and made adaptations as necessary.โ€ฏ This included opening up areas of provision to enable adults to have effective interactions within them.โ€ฏ This was then scheduled as a training session for all staff and volunteers as how to do this.

The biggest leadership monitoring change was the development of child tracking and development conversations.โ€ฏ From information received during the CPD session, I was able to provide a series of workshops to staff on child development conversations, this is now built into weekly meetings where teachers and TA’s talk about individual children and their development across all areas of provision.โ€ฏ We have adapted the observation of teaching and provision document provided on the training to include development conversations.โ€ฏ This enables a selection of children to be discussed throughout the year.โ€ฏ The teaching staff have commented on how beneficial this has been to their development, and we know they are confident to talk about the learning journey of all children.

I have also met with all of our subject leaders and visited EYFS with them explaining the development of our children across nursery and reception and how this forms the basic skills leading into their subjects.โ€ฏ โ€ฏThe profile of our fantastic work in EYFS has been raised this year which has been driven by the confidence that this training course instilled in myself as EYFS leader and acting Deputy Head at the time.โ€ฏ The team at One Education has an enthusiasm for EYFS which is infectious and I wholeheartedly recommend the training session and their EYFS support.”
