This half day event is designed to support school leaders in helping to make informed and strategic choices about how they can utilise flexible working strategies to improve recruitment, retention, wellbeing and career development.

Given last year’s Dfe research report in January 2023, along with forthcoming legislative changes to the right to flexible working, later this year, we see how flexible working can work for all types of roles, address some common concerns and myths around flexible working in schools. We explore key considerations, benefits and top tips for individuals and each educational establishment.

A big driving force behind the new push for flexible working in education is the teacher recruitment and retention crisis. But opportunities for flexible working are important on so many levels, notably as part of a healthier work/life balance to ultimately improve teacher wellbeing.
