Our Understanding Staff Attendance Management training aims to empower managers to be confident to address staff attendance issues by giving an understanding of proactive strategies for anticipating and addressing attendance challenges, from both a short and long-term absence perspective.
Our training aims to give insights into managing attendance related to disability, how to avoid discrimination and consider the Equality Act, as well as tips on managing short term attendance and giving confidence to managers on when to move through the stages of attendance management.
Through the use of case studies, we will look at how you can tackle absence issues such as absenteeism, AWOL and presenteeism to further develop understanding on when to use occupational health practices, reasonable adjustments, and the use of effective phased return plans.
The workshop will examine how you can use your data to support decisions, how and when to target attendance management to reduce the impact to your school, and arm you with an understanding of the areas such as mental health awareness, wellbeing.  To use risk assessments, record-keeping and effective return to work meetings in order to support employees and increase employee engagement whilst sustaining attendance and reducing absence within your school.
