The Music Team currently works with 186 schools across Manchester, providing a high-quality music education.
Adam studied music at the University of Manchester before being awarded a scholarship to the Guildhall School of Music in London. As a conductor, Adam has worked with leading ensembles across Europe, including tenures as Musical Director of the Fairey Band and resident conductor of Stavanger Brass Band in Norway. He has also been a guest conductor with several national youth ensembles, including Ulster Youth Orchestra, National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain, and the South African National Youth Wind Orchestra.
Beginning her primary teacher career, Jo led music and enrichment across a large Manchester school, becoming an Advanced Skills Teacher in 2004. Jo offers training and development to EYFS, primary, special schools and ITT establishments. She is committed to supporting schools in delivering an effective and progressive music curriculum.
Born in Belgium, Kelly freelanced with professional chamber orchestras before moving to the UK where she worked at the Royal Northern College of Music for over 10 years.
Kelly is passionate about championing every child, embracing cultural diversity and inclusion. Kelly believes that every child can be a musician and can gain incredible life-changing benefits from musical literacy. In her role at One Education she leads on the strategic development of the music centres across the City of Manchester and aims to inspire, facilitate and support children to enjoy and take part in musical activities.Â
With a 1st Class Honours degree in Jazz Performance and a PGCE in Secondary Music, Steve has many years’ teaching experience with One Education, specialising in guitar, bass, music technology and band skills. Currently, Steve oversees the Whole Class Ensemble Tuition Package, whilst delivering tuition and developing music technology services. With experience as a professional musician and session performer, Steve has also ventured into electronic music production. He is passionate about education and believes it is inspiring for pupils to know their teacher is active in the field they aspire to be a part of.
Tusmeia has 15 years' experience working within Local Authority Children's Services in a finance/commissioning related role. In the previous year, she worked as an Assistant School Business Manager in a special school in Stockport where she gained valuable experience.
