Meet The Team

With our child-centred approach, our team is proud to work together with schools to develop a positive and proactive safeguarding culture.

Adele supports schools through multi-agency approaches, analysis and reporting on pupil attendance data, recognising attendance patterns and trends to assist in meeting the needs of pupils with attendance issues. Adele can develop and enhance inclusive practice, providing knowledgeable guidance around the legal framework.

Adele Edwards

EDUCATION WELFARE AND SAFEGUARDING ADVISER

Vanessa has a degree in Primary Education and has spent the last 10 years working with children and families. She worked as a Family Support Worker at a Primary school. This involved lots of multi-agency working with services including, Health, Education, Children’s Services, Early Help and charities. Before this she worked within Speech and Language, Domestic Abuse support and Family Support linked with both schools and Children’s Centres. Vanessa’s background in education enables her to understand the issues schools face and how best to support staff and families.

Vanessa Pomeroy

EDUCATION WELFARE AND SAFEGUARDING ADVISER

Lauren has a degree in Psychology specialising in Domestic Abuse and trauma. She spent 6 years working alongside Greater Manchester Police delivering direct support to families, and 3 years with Tameside’s Children’s Social Care supporting education settings to provide multi agency responses to early help and safeguarding issues. She is NSPCC trained and able to offer professional casework supervision to DSLs in school

Lauren Foster

EDUCATION WELFARE AND SAFEGUARDING ADVISER

Ella has worked in multiple roles across local authorities and public sector provisions, including Teaching and Early Help. She is passionate about supporting professionals in a range of setting to promote the Welfare of Children through best practice, delivery, advice and guidance. A key strength is to develop further training needs, supporting professionals to support families to the best of their ability.
