A Cello Revolution has started!

Over 30 new cellists at Chorlton Music Centre on Saturday were introduced through a series of inspirational school workshops, led by One Education’s music tutors, Victoria Groves & Robert Wheatley.

Integrate: A One Education Music Jazz Ensemble

The new One Education jazz group known as Integrate may only be one year old, but they have already developed an impressive musical CV. The students range from age 15 – 18 and between them have accomplished various music qualifications, musical grades and three have been accepted to prestigious music colleges.

The health benefits of music and singing have been well documented. When we sing we release endorphins, the feel-good brain chemical that makes you feel uplifted and happy. Singing improves mental alertness, concentration and memory and by improving blood circulation it allows more oxygen to reach the brain.

Cheetwood choir has had a very busy week indeed!

On Sunday 18th November, the choir performed in the world premiere “These Days – The Manchester Peace Song Cycle” at Heaton Hall and then took part in a repeat of the performance at the Royal Northern College of Music on Wednesday 21st November to a packed concert hall.

The only thing better than singing is more singing

The One Education Singarounds will be held at the iconic Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester on Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th March 2019.

Singarounds are an exciting opportunity for children to get together and sing at a prestigious venue. Songs are especially selected to support the development of singing in the primary school and are all age appropriate.

The Big Sing 2018 – Back to the 80s

Years 5, 6, 7 and 8 children, music teachers, heads of music and music coordinators were all invited to come and join in the fun and sing along with other schools in the prestigious Bridgewater Hall.

After the Big Sing, Carla Jane, One Education’s vocal teacher, received an email from the children at the Ravensbury Primary School.
