Meet The Literacy Team

Our team combines the knowledge and experience of leading experts in education, brought together by our shared ambition to support lifelong learning and
pupil achievement.

Jo has extensive experience of working with school and trusts in supporting leadership, curriculum and pedagogical approaches. She is Vice Chair of the North West Assessment Group, Moderation Manager for Oldham LA, and works across the North West supporting EYFS, KS1 and KS2, including assessment, phonics and SATs monitoring for Manchester LA. She is a passionate advocate for inclusive, play-based approaches to learning; often speaking at conferences and events.

Jo Gray

HEAD OF EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Laura has many years of experience working with schools and trust across all phases, specialising in Literacy. She delivers bespoke training, leadership support and curriculum development to a wide range of schools and settings. Laura is Lead Moderator for Manchester LA and a Curriculum Advisor in reading for the DfE/STA. She leads the One Education Reading Award and is passionate about ensuring every child becomes a fluent reader who loves to read.

Laura Buczko

LITERACY TEAM LEADER

Alice works across a range of schools and settings to deliver Literacy and wider curriculum support, bespoke consultancy and training. Alice is our Oracy Award Lead, supporting schools to implement bespoke oracy practice and celebrating their provision. She is also an expert writing moderator, skilled in creating bespoke reading and writing curriculums to support all learners, and passionate about evolving teachers and leaders to ensure literacy develops transferable skills for all.

Alice Pepper

EDUCATION CONSULTANT

Liz supports schools and academies, specialising in EAL, leadership and curriculum design, with a strong focus on teacher development. She contributes to ITT and delivers NPQLTD and NPQLL with Ambition Institute. A Licensed Practitioner for The Bell Foundation, she strengthens whole-school EAL provision. An experienced writing moderator and ELE, she champions evidence-informed teaching and leadership.
