We’re proud to share this case study reflecting on the success of our School Marketing Team’s collaboration with Teenage Kicks to develop a new brand, prospectus, and website that successfully sets the school apart as a specialist provider of choice.

Setting the Scene

With shifting demographics and increased competition, families are now more likely than ever to actively research, compare, and evaluate schools before making decisions about their child’s education. As a result, school marketing is no longer simply about increasing visibility, but effectively communicating your school’s ethos, environment, and quality of education.

For specialist settings in particular, clear, consistent messaging is essential. Families are often making complex decisions regarding the future of their child’s education. A strong brand identity can give them the reassurance that their needs will be met by reflecting the care and support within a school community.

Teenage Kicks is an independent special school dedicated to supporting young people who require an alternative to mainstream education. Through personalised support and a strong emphasis on holistic development, Teenage Kicks aims to deliver the best possible outcomes for every child, preparing them for successful post-16 pathways and meaningful participation in the wider community.

Despite the exceptional work taking place throughout the school, leadership recognised that their existing marketing materials did not fully reflect the quality of their provision. They approached One Education Marketing for support in developing a professional brand identity and building a stronger presence amongst prospective pupils and their families.

Our Approach

Our Head of Marketing worked closely with the school’s leadership team, developing an in-depth understanding of the provision and its educational principles. Using these insights, our graphic designer developed a bespoke visual identity, including a logo, brand assets and visual guidelines, aligned with the school’s values and long-term vision.

By reviewing the school’s existing communications and curriculum information, our content writer was able to create a fully refreshed prospectus that effectively showcased the school’s wide range of opportunities, highlighting the combination of academic, vocational, and personal enrichment pathways available. Professional photography helped to bring the prospectus to life, capturing authentic moments from across the school and providing prospective families with a genuine insight into day-to-day life.

Alongside this, our team designed and developed a bespoke website for the school. From initial planning through to launch, every stage of the project was carefully managed to deliver a professional platform that combines easy and intuitive navigation with a polished visual finish. Our team combined engaging written content with high-quality visual design and photography, establishing a digital presence that reflects the school’s distinct identity and celebrates the positive impact of its provision.

James Doherty, Executive Headteacher at Teenage Kicks, reflects, ‘they took the time to truly listen to what makes Teenage Kicks unique and translated that into a beautifully designed prospectus and a dynamic, user-friendly website that reflects our ethos and values. Their attention to detail, responsiveness, and collaborative approach made the entire process smooth and enjoyable.’

The Results

Strategic Branding: A strong brand identity that is consistent across print and digital communications, strengthening recognition and credibility across all touchpoints.

Stronger Connection with Families: Enhanced trust and relationships with existing families through clear and consistent communication channels.

Standing Out in a Competitive Sector: Increased visibility and brand awareness, strengthening the school’s position in a competitive education landscape and establishing it as a specialist provider of choice.

Looking Forwards

Looking ahead, Teenage Kicks is focused on continuing to build on its success and explore opportunities for future growth and development. The new brand and website provide a flexible foundation that can grow with the school, whilst ensuring a consistent and compelling presence across all communications.

“We at Teenage Kicks would like to extend our sincere thanks to One Education for their outstanding support in developing our new prospectus and website. From the very beginning, their team demonstrated creativity, professionalism, and a genuine understanding of our vision as a school.

The final results have exceeded our expectations. Both the prospectus and website have already made a significant impact in how we present ourselves to students, families, and the wider community. We would highly recommend One Education to any organisation looking for high-quality design and content support. Their expertise and dedication have been invaluable to us.”
