Outcomes from 2024 show that the percentage of pupils achieving the greater depth standard in writing remains below pre-pandemic levels. This new training session will support leaders to review and evaluate their writing curriculum to ensure it meets the needs of writers who have the potential to achieve at the greater depth standard, improving outcomes over time.
The course will unpick best practice in identifying greater depth writers and whole school strategies to support their development over time, through whole class teaching, intervention, and accurate assessment.
Delegates will leave with a range of strategies to support greater depth writing across the school, as well as resources including our greater depth assessment statements.
