Big Band On The Wall is a performance-led showcase created for high schools to put forward their strongest, performance-ready big bands and jazz ensembles.
Delivered by One Education Music and hosted at the legendary Band on the Wall, this event celebrates the energy, precision, and musicianship of large ensembles. Schools are invited to register groups performing across the jazz spectrum — including big band swing, contemporary jazz, funk, Latin, fusion, and groove-based repertoire.
As this is a showcase event, all ensembles submitted must be at performance standard. Schools should nominate bands that are well-rehearsed, confident, and able to deliver a tight, polished set that reflects the highest level of ensemble playing, musicality, and discipline within their school.
This event provides students with:

Big Band On The Wall is open to all big band and jazz ensemble formats within our network of high schools, with a clear focus on excellence, preparation, and performance quality.
Spaces are limited and subject to availability. Schools must register their performing ensembles in advance using this booking link.
