KS1 Curriculum Networks - All 3 online sessions
Focusing on the curriculum, these half-day, termly sessions are a fantastic opportunity to work alongside others in similar situations, whilst using the knowledge and experience of the course facilitators who are experienced moderators; curriculum advisors for the STA; school leaders and classroom teachers.
The dates of these sessions are 26th November 2020, 25th March 2021 and 27th May 2021

The meetings will focus on:
- DfE and national updates
- Progression in the curriculum
- Text based curriculum planning
- Assessment in KS1
- Resources for the classroom: tried and tested
- Latest research and how to effectively apply it
- Supporting and Improving standards
- Developing knowledge and skills
- Inquiry based learning for an effective KS1 Curriculum
- Sharing good practice
- Network opportunities
Over the year practitioners will be given the opportunity to reflect and discuss current practice in relation to education research, together with reference to the learning, development and assessment requirements of the Statutory Framework for the KS1.
A network event can be attended as a single event but attending the three meetings throughout the year will allow for KS1 practioners to gain invaluable support to improve knowledge and skill, along with practical ideas to adapt within the classroom. Delegates will receive a resource pack and be encouraged to complete a follow up task between sessions to embed new ideas into their practice.
